Cathay completes acquisition of Amethyst Group Ltd from Itochu Corporation
Cathay Investments 2 Limited, today announces it has completed the acquisition of Amethyst Group Limited from Itochu Corporation (19 March 2015).
Amethyst Group is a recognised leader in the provision of third party warehousing and distribution services across the United Kingdom. With over 30 years supply chain expertise Amethyst Group offers leading-edge specialist services to its chosen market sectors of Fashion & Beauty, Toy & Baby, Pharmaceutical, Homeware and Automotive & Machinery markets. Amethyst Group operates up to 650,000 square feet of shared-user warehousing with circa 450 full time employees in seven distribution centres over four locations. Annual turnover is in the region of £30 million.
Cathay Investments 2 is the UK holding company for a group of companies engaged in distribution activities. Cathay’s principal trading business is Perkins Group Services Limited, which distributes toys and stationery throughout the United Kingdom.
